Eric and Kristen meet in High School, quickly getting in over their heads by adopting a dog who theynamed, Puppy. Little did they know, Puppy would average one surgery every two years her entire life.

During this time, Eric and Kristen were both working on their college degrees, becoming increasingly anxious about their upcoming career decisions that would need to be made and, of course, rescuing animals along the way.

Eric is a few months away from finishing school, but makes an impulse buy of a pet engraving machine with the goal of making some “Pizza Money” in the meantime.

The pet tag business has taken off, becoming an Amazon bestseller. Eric and Kristen work full-time on the business, get married and launch a non-profit organization for positive animal education called Colorful Dog.

Eric and Kristen purchase land to eventually start an animal and small wildlife sanctuary. Colorful Dog becomes SuperGood Foundation and they begin drawing funny pet portraits called, “SuperGood Pet Portraits” to raise money for the foundation.

Born out of Puppy's many medical needs, SuperGood ID is officially launched, providing pet parents and caretakers with the tools to better care for their pets, whether they're together or not.

Meet the Team

Founded by husband-and-wife duo, Eric and Kristen set out to create world's first “Medical Access Tag”, allowing pet caretakers to take full control of their pet's medical records. Based in Indiana, the Calistos have a goal of bringing simplicity back to pet guardianship while also building the SuperGood Foundation to protect wildlife with every sale.

ERIC CALISTO

Eric is a life-long entrepreneur dedicated to building products and services that have a positive impact on animals and the people who care for them. Eric has an MBA from Indiana University and nearly a decade of experience in the petcare industry. By building one of the largest pet identification tag manufacturing businesses in the country, Eric has given customers the ability to protect their pets at an affordable price. Now, Eric is working to empower customers to take charge of their pet's medical history by bringing SuperGood ID to the masses.

KRISTEN CALISTO

Kristen is passionate about the protection of all living creatures and is dedicated to making the world a better place for all animals. She has experience with non-profit fundraising that benefits animal welfare. She has a degree in Psychology from Indiana University, and while she chose to help develop SuperGood ID instead of pursuing a career in the psychology field, her empathy and compassion has always extended to animals, making her skillset a perfect fit.

PUPPY CALISTO

Puppy is a 15-year-old Mini American Eskimo. She has an honorary degree in cuteness. Over the course of her life, she has had a handful of health problems requiring the care of various veterinarians and specialists, making it extremely difficult to keep her medical history organized. This led to her accidentally becoming the inspiration for SuperGood ID. She continues to motivate us to build SuperGood ID into something that can benefit animals all over the world.
